I did tons of research online looking at every wooden pet crate table available out there. I do not have much money to spend and I wanted one that would not only be sturdy but would look good too. I finally decided on this one from Crown. I did some research on what Rubberwood is and I liked what I found out. Being a retired woodworker I had never even heard of the stuff. I always worked with oak, maple and ash. But Rubberwood is apparently a better type of wood for a pet crate for a dog.

It arrived today and I had it put together in less that 30 minutes, of course I am disabled so you healthy folks can probably do it in less than 15 minutes.

It is sturdy, very pretty the door swings inward so it is not sticking out into the living room taking up extra floor space when I am home and do not have a dog shut up in it, and I just plain love it!

I choose the Medium in Mahogany because I have a 20 lb Terrier and a 54 lb Boxer. Both dogs occasionally go into the old crate for a nap. My Terrier likes to lie on her back all four feet in the air and my Boxer enjoys curling up into a tight ball. So the size is not an issue with her.

I have some handmade changeable pillow covers that I purchased from a lady from Art-n-Arfs and they fit right into the bottom of this medium crate perfectly. I put a regular sized pillow from a bed in them and the dogs loved them.

Got this for our second boxer...60lbs (I bought another version of this crate from another company for twice the price for our first boxer (75lbs) and this one is equally as good and arguably better.) The construction is solid and assembly pretty straight forward...took me about 10-15 minutes but you will need assistance from another person for a couple minutes at one point during the assembly...so plan accordingly. Also, I used a power drill to tighten the screws. made for a quicker install and ensured good stability. Be sure not to crank up the torque too high! It looks great in our living room where we have wood floors. NOTE: If setting it on hardwood floors or tile, I would recommend getting some non slip stickers for the bottom. You can get a set of 8 or something at Home Depot for 3-5 bucks. The crate doesn't come with any non-slip feet. Recommendation: I would put the non slip stickers in the front only. This will allow you to lift the front and place/slide the crate into position and then set it down causing the non slip sticker to secure the desired location. Best part of this crate is that it can be used as furniture/end table. We have a lamp on ours! If you have a medium to large dog, I would recommend this crate!

I was worried that it would not be sturdy, but it is solid and very pretty. You have to look twice to see that it is a kennel. It was also easy to put together....I was finished in under an hour.
