Some dogs need a little help. Some dogs are afraid, or excited, or reactive. Dogs that €œdon't listen" and €œgo crazy" don't live the lives we - or they - want. Fired Up, Frantic, and Freaked Out can change that. Simple dog training steps are communicated in a conversational tone from award-winning, internationally-known trainer Laura VanArendonk Baugh CPDT-KA KPACTP. This wonderful book makes calming the agitated dog not only possible, but pleasant!

Fired Up, Frantic, and Freaked Out will use positive dog training techniques and philosophies to teach you how to:

  • Use positive training techniques such as clicker training to help your anxious, over-excited or reactive dog.
  • Train a dog that can't seem to think straight!
  • Teach your dog to be calm around what currently makes him "bonkers".
  • Achieve positive change in your dog's behavior in short, simple training sessions of a minute or less.
  • Maximize the effects of your dog's natural brain chemistry.
  • When to call in veterinary help.
  • Improve unreliable behaviors (like not coming when called) in both overexcited sport dogs and pets at home.
  • Bring your dog from emotional to thoughtful, and enjoy a calmer, more enriched life with your best friend!

174 pages. Instant download in pdf format. No shipping charge.

About the Author: Laura VanArendonk Baugh CPDT-KA KPACTP has been working with dogs and horses since childhood, and she began training professionally in 1999. Laura was one of the earliest dog trainers to achieve national certification, scoring 98% on her written exam. She enjoys pursuing continuing education more than anyone should, and she has presented internationally on behavior. Laura is particularly fascinated by the science of altering behavior. Her instructional videos are popularly recommended and used in presentations on clicker training, and one has even made its way into a Harvard behavior class! In January 2008 Laura became a Certified Training Partner with the highly-regarded Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training & Behavior, and she returned to the Academy as an instructor, teaching certification workshops around the country.
