The textbook for fearful/shy dogs classes!, February 2, 2008
Reviewer: Cinder Wilkinson-Kenner
I teach a series of Shy Dog classes through Greater St. Louis Training Club at the Humane Society of Missouri, and this is the book we use as our text. It is the most comprehensive, yet understandable, resource for defining fears, creating treatment and training plans, and following through with the plans. Our students are having great success with this book. Some of the dogs have moved into regular group classes and all have greatly improved their quality of life!

Another Fantastic Book!, December 27, 2007
Reviewer: Elizabeth Coburn
This is one of those books that I keep near me at all times. It shows how to break down behaviors and modify them with easy to read steps. This is not just for the instructor/trainer. This is a must have for any owner whose dog is experiencing fear.

Fearful Dog Bible, August 6, 2007
Reviewer: Beth
As the owner of a very fearful little dog, this book has helped me so much. Step by step, easy to understand, and one of the most user friendly books I have ever read. Gives hints as to helping the dog in all life situations and addresses fears from thunderstorms to men in baseball caps. This books talks about training, exercises, and how to modify the environment for the fearful dog. Plus it helps to identify those fears more clearly so they can be addressed. Must have for anyone who has or works with fearful dogs.
