I bought this for my dog so that he would have something interactive to do while tethered to my desk. I left for less than 5 minutes and it was destroyed. The plastic was bottle was chewed up and the tug was in miniscule pieces. He is a lab cross. When I called premier (who makes the product) They told me he should not be left unattended with the toy. Well whenI toy is labeled for aggressive chewers I expect it to last more than 5 minutes and if I could give him undivided attention I wouldn't need toys! Note from Pet Expertise: This is a very durable toy, but no toy is indestructible. If you have a very stong chewer please make sure to purchase the Large size and to supervise your dog especially his or her initial reaction.

My dog did eventually chew through the rope, but the toy still works great with a raquet ball inside. It has lasted my dog many months of fun play. I enjoy tiring him out by putting his food in there on days that we don't get out as much. Try it!

Our Springer/Terrier mix loved this! She did however chew through the tug as well as most of the rubber on that end. So it was great while it lasted. However, it did last longer than most toys. Pet Expertise Note: The tug is the "weakest" link in this toy. The good news is that it is not necessary for use. If your dog destroys the rope tug, simply put a ball inside the Jug to keep the treats from coming out to easily.

I was very excited when I bought this toy for my lab however he chewed through the "bullet proof glass" material within 20 mins, I had to throw it away becase I didn't want him to try to eat it, I was very dissapointed. It may work if your dog is not a chewer though, neat design for a toy though. Note from Pet Expertise: This is a very durable toy, but no toy is indestructible. The Tug a Jug is a great toy. I got it for my laboradoodle puppy. The toy was such a hit I had to go and buy a 2nd one for my 10 yr old Rottie. I am thrilled to say that both are still in use now 4 months later.
