Dog Stealing Food / Countersurfing

Most dogs will try stealing our food or other enticing items. It is important to prevent your dog from stealing food (a.k.a. counter surfing) by keeping it out of reach and by teach him to "leave it". If your dog does steal something and you need to get it back you will be glad you taught him to "drop it"! In an emergency you can simply grab a piece of food and offer your dog a trade.
