The joy of this leash is that it is soft in your hand, but it also allows for hands free use by putting it around my waist. This is very handy when I need to have both hands free - like paying at the vet's office or eating out with my dog. It also can be shortened for walking through the Farmer's Market when I want the dog close by and not tangling people up. Seems to be a good all purpose leash.

The small/Woven nylon size leash is the one I bought last year and was perfect for my small puppy as the leash was light and did not force his neck to carry the weight. I had the OllyDog hands-free Mt Tam leash but it was way too heavy for my small dogs head. This multi-purpose leash was perfect for me to clip at my waist and just forget about it. I also use the other feature where I can use as a tie-out and keep him a little less mobile while I put a different leash on my big dog so I can walk both dogs (one is 8 lbs & other is 80 lbs) the multi-purpose leash helps me keep that hand free so I can use the other hand to hold the leash to my big dog. There’s also a VERY HELPFUL link on the description page for different ways to use it. I was very skeptical about the hands-free feature but it worked exactly as described. Only reason why I’m back to purchase another leash is because I accidently get it get frayed when it rubbed up against very rough bricks and tree barks. It’s still secure but I wanted to have another on-hand just in case.

I agree with the other reviewer. This is a great all-purpose leash. And it's reasonably priced. I've added it to my recommended products page. :)
