Flexi leashes are really handy leashes, but they should used by adults only and are not recommended for difficult to restrain dogs. Note that if you use a retractable leash please consider the following :

The handle can be difficult to hold onto if your dog were to pull hard on it. You could drop the leash and the loud clattering it makes could spook your dog and cause him to run away from you. If or your dog is easily frightened a non-retractable long leash might be best for you and your dog.

Be careful not to allow your dog too much line around other people and dogs as they could get tangled.

Most trainers do not allow them in training class as they are difficult to manage around close quarters
